Hello!
Welcome to Sure Self Counselling & Psychotherapy.
I’m Zoe, lead therapist and owner of Sure Self Counselling & Psychotherapy! Here, we offer holistic, modern therapy for individuals 18+, available online Australia-wide (and beyond) from the comfort of your couch, or face to face in Launceston, lutruwita/Tasmania.
We aren't just your standard therapists - we've been there and got the t-shirt ourselves! So you can trust that we aren't the judgy types, and that the tools we share with you are not only backed by heaps of research, but are also therapist-tried-and-tested!
You don’t have to be at breaking point to seek support (though it’s okay if you are!). At Sure Self, we specialise in anxiety, burnout, procrastination, and late-diagnosed ADHD - all the things that can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you’re constantly working against yourself. Maybe self-doubt is holding you back, you’re exhausted from people-pleasing, or you’re still processing years of undiagnosed ADHD. Or maybe you just want to understand yourself better and learn how to work with your brain, not against it. Whatever stage you’re at, we’re here to help you break old patterns, build confidence, and create a life that truly feels fulfilling and aligned with who you are.
Our Specialties.
Here are our four main specialties and how they might show up in your life.
This is just a guide — if you don’t see your specific struggles listed, reach out to see how we can support you.
01. LATE-DIAGNOSED ADHD
Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD can mean years of adapting, overcompensating, and masking your difficulties, feeling like there is something wrong. Whether you're looking for support with managing ADHD symptoms or life beyond that, it helps to work with someone who understands your brain.
A constant feeling that something is wrong with you
Zoning out, losing things, or struggling to finish tasks
Quickly making big changes e.g. jobs, in relationships
Big emotional reactions that may feel embarrassing later
Unintentionally acting differently with different people
02. ANXIETY
Anxiety might show up in your body, your thoughts, or the way you second-guess yourself. Whether it’s constant worry, social anxiety, or feeling on edge for no clear reason, it can make everyday life feel a lot and zap the joy out of life.
Overworking to prove you're 'good enough'
Replaying interactions, worrying you’ve said the wrong thing
Headaches, nausea, racing heart, or trouble relaxing/sleeping
Avoiding things, even things you want to do
Beating yourself up over small mistakes
03. BURNOUT
Burnout isn't feeling worn out - it’s feeling completely done. Your body, mind, and emotions are drained, and even simple tasks feel overwhelming. You might be pushing through on autopilot, running on empty, or feeling disconnected from yourself and the things you once enjoyed.
No motivation or energy for things beyond obligations
Struggling to care about things you usually enjoy
Feeling irritable, snappy, or withdrawing from people
Feeling guilty, unable to slow down and have a break
Numbing out with scrolling/food/TV but never feeling rested
04. PROCRASTINATION
Procrastination is putting things off, not because you're lazy or undisciplined, but because getting started feels impossible. It can be deeply frustrating - the longer you wait, the worse it feels, trapping you in a cycle of stress, avoidance, and guilt.
Delaying important tasks until a deadline forces you to act
Over-planning, or waiting for the “perfect” time to begin
Convinced you’ll start after one more episode, snack, or scroll
Avoiding the task 'productively' - hello oven deep-clean!
Feeling stuck, like you’re falling short of your potential

Imagine going from this...
Having heaps of ideas but feeling scattered, overwhelmed and struggling to start.
...to this!
Trusting your instincts, finding strategies that allow you to make progress on your terms.
Constant overthinking, unease and second-guessing everything you say.
Learning how to quiet the mental chatter, feeling at ease and actually enjoying social interactions.
Waking up filled with dread and feeling exhausted no matter how much you sleep.
Feeling rested and having energy to spend on the people and things who are important to you.
Rushing to finish at the last minute in a stress-fuelled panic and beating yourself up about it.
Working steadily without the guilt and pressure, using strategies that actually help.
